Omni Technologies, Inc. offers challenging opportunities for engineers and technicians to design and assemble interesting instruments and unique systems. Many times, the engineers directly work with the customer on system requirements and definition, and then perform the system design, fabricate the prototype or first article, field test the prototype, and then complete a final design. Some of the varied projects we have worked on in the past have been:

• Telecommunications equipment (SONET/ATM systems, fiber optic, WDM, LANS/WANS, wireless, satellite, etc.)
• Oceanographic instrumentation (sonars, in-situ probes, towed sensors, etc.)
• Fiber optic sensor development (Bragg, temperature, smoke, liquid levels, etc.)
• Data acquisition equipment (instrumentation, data collection, processing, etc.)
• Video equipment (frame grabbers, CCTV systems, web based cameras, etc.)

In general, Omni Technologies, Inc. designs all of the hardware (analog and digital) and software (C, C++, Windows NT, Unix, Assembly, embedded processing, etc.) in-house. In addition, Omni Tech has been involved in mechanical designs as required for the packaging and deployment/installation of the systems and instruments designed. This is challenging and rewarding work to see a design completed – from conception to delivery and use.

Omni Technologies, Inc. is currently looking for motivated individuals with the following backgrounds:

Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in programming. Verilog or VHDL experience is a plus. Taking recent graduate applications or individuals with 2-7 years of experience may apply.

Telecommunications Engineer with Software Engineering background. Knowledge of LAN and WAN design, installation and troubleshooting. SONET and fiber optics experience a plus. Taking recent graduate applications or individuals with 2-7 years of experience may apply.

Engineering Technician with strong electronics background. Soldering, PC board assembly, and unit integration skills required. Recent graduates of technical programs or those individuals with 2 to 3 years field experience may apply.
